RONAN — On Saturday, May 4, the City of Ronan and the Ronan Area Chamber will hold its annual “Spring Cleanup Day.” Meet at 9 a.m. at Ronan City Park to pick up garbage bags and gloves and a hot cup of coffee to get you going. There will be a construction size box dumpster, donated by Allied Waste, available to drop off approved trash items and full trash bags. It will be located at the city park near the fire hall.

The dumpster cannot handle kitchen trash, large appliances, tires or hazardous materials. If you have any of these items or other waste, call Ronan City and they will pick up larger items i.e.: washers, refrigerators, batteries, yard debris, old paint, junk and even old vehicles at your home. They cannot pick up any electronics. Call City Hall at (406) 676-4231 or Ellen at (406) 676-8666 by May 4 to schedule a pick up at your home or location or if you have any questions.

If you need a break from cleaning, St. Paul Lutheran Church, 35681 Terrace Lake Rd, will provide food and refreshments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day.

The Ronan Chamber will provide the dumpster, trash bags, rubber gloves, coffee and donuts.

Ronan’s Spring Cleanup Day’s success is due in large part to the people and organizations who donate their time, equipment and manpower.

The Ronan Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank Allied Waste for once again providing the dumpster and the City of Ronan for providing the pickup service.
