POLSON — Skies above the Polson Airport will be full of antique airplanes during the late afternoon of July 12. The planes belong to the Puget Sound Antique Airplane Club, which will include Polson on their 2011 air tour.
About 35 planes, everything from current planes back through World War II planes, including a Stearman, a World War II trainer, and an RV-10, a kit-built plane, will land at the Polson Airport according to Mauri Morin, Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1122 member.
The EAA invites the public out to take a look at the planes and to purchase a hamburger or hotdog at their barbecue at the airport.
Morin estimated the planes would arrive about 5 p.m. so people will have time to talk airplanes with the pilots.
