Every week I think about something in our community that is great. So often we enjoy something but neglect to stop and say thank you. Whether it’s a parade, hay maze, the new path in the park, hanging street planters or the Harvest Festival, we need to say thanks.
The recent Safe Harbor Benefit Art Auction was a wonderful evening with artists, sponsors and community members enjoying the event for such a good cause.
Last Friday the “trunk or treat” activity was a safe and fun celebration for kids and parents. We have haunted houses, fun runs and free concerts.
In October we received our copy of the Lake County School History Book by Joyce Decker Wegner and many historians. It will be a great Christmas gift to be shared with generations to come. Thank you Joyce.
This week the Shepherd’s Table dinner began as a welcome mat for people needing food and fellowship. Let’s not forget the Thanksgiving community dinner at the community center. Four hundred people giving thanks; how great is that?
My favorite thank you came to me in a letter from a young 4-H member. He thanked me for his award and extended thanks from him and his pet duck.
Let’s remember to thank others for the small things and enjoy the activities and friends Ronan offers. Thanks Ronan.
