Fresh local produce helps Polson senior nutrition program

POLSON — We have already had donations of fresh produce from our readers’ gardens and we them to know just how much they are appreciated. Fresh local produce is such a big help to our nutrition program. Once again, thank you to all who think of us.

Now that it is getting warm out we want all you avid bingo players to know we will continue our bingo games through the summer. We are having a great time and hope you all bring a friend and join us on Friday nights. If you have any questions, please give us a call at (406) 883-4735 and we’ll try to answer any and all questions.

The hearing clinic will be on Tuesday, June 25, from 9-11 a.m. Our birthday lunch will be held on Friday, June 28, and we will serve from noon-12:30 p.m. There will be no blood pressure clinic that day as Shirley will be in Ireland. The toenail clinic will be on Wednesday, July 10. These are just a few of the happenings going on here at the center.

If you are new to the area, we would like you to know about our great exercise classes held here on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. It is a low impact class and we have a really great group of men and women. If you are looking for a little get up and go and would like to meet a new friend, come join us. You won’t be disappointed.

I know that we need the moisture, but as always “Think Sunshine.” See you all next week.

Bridge scores for May 31 placed Dean Greiner first and Paul Doolittle placed second; on June 4 Paul Doolittle was first and Dean Greiner was second; on June 7 Doris Gorsuch was first and Win Baer was second; and on June 11 Ruth Baer was first and Paul Doolittle was second. Pinochle scores for June 6 had Pete Daniels first and Paul Doolittle second with Pete Daniels and Dee Adams getting double pinochles. On June 13 Paul Doolittle was first and Alice Johnson was second. It was previously reported that Carol Daniels was first on May 30 when it was Grace Schumacher that took first that day.
