RONAN — The playground in Bockman Park is going to be even more fun for kids, thanks to a group of adults.
The Lower Flathead Community Foundation donated $10,000 to the Ronan playgrounds, and both the CSKT Fish, Wildlife, Recreation and Conservation Department and S & K Electronics have pledged money over the next three years to support the park.
Jennifer Rolfness, Ronan Parks director, is hoping with all the great commitment from the community, some pieces of the new playground equipment can be installed this fall. Rolfness designed the custom-tailored playground with Gametime. All equipment will be custom-molded to showcase the various cultures around the Mission Valley and the natural resources on the reservation.
She would like one of the first pieces to be the eagle slide, since it’s the showpiece of the playground.
