POLSON — With filing for municipal positions closing on June 27, three people threw their hat in the ring for Polson mayor — Heather Knutson, Michael Brandt and Bob Fulton.

Incumbent Todd Erickson is running to keep his seat as Ward 1 Polson City Commissioner for a four-year term while Jill Southerland and Murat Kalinyaprak will square off for a four-year term in Ward 2.

Mary Frances Caselli, Ken Siler and Bill D. Smith are vying for a four-year term as Polson City Commissioner in Ward 3. 

In Ronan, incumbent Kim Aipperspach will run against Kim Eldon Snyder for mayor. 

Justin Lee Bartels filed for another four-year term as Justice of the Peace. 

Tracey Morigeau Frank will take on Roger W. Romero for a four-year term for Ronan City Council Ward 1. Chris Adler will run unopposed for a four-year term for Ward 2, and Marlene Melton will do the same for Ward 3.

Charles Gariepy will face off against John W. Mitchell for mayor of St. Ignatius. 

Incumbent Judge Sharon L. Richardson will run for another four-year term, as will Alderman Roger Lemon. 

These positions will be decided on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5.
