‘Layaway angels’ at work in Polson

POLSON — “Layaway angels” around the United States have been paying off layaway tabs at Kmarts and Walmarts.
The angels also visited Walmart in Polson, according to Cody Grove, Walmart Manager. Grove said five people came into the store and paid off layaways for items for kids.
One customer, Grove said, had cancelled his layaway because he couldn’t pay it off. The store staff hadn’t yet put the merchandise back on the shelf so his bill was paid. Walmart workers called the man with the good news, and the toys went to his children.
Walmart extended the layaway deadline for its employees so they could take advantage of a pre-Christmas paycheck when a layaway angel came in and paid off all the associates’ layaways.
Thanks to all the layaway angels who made Christmas brighter for so many area people and their children.
