Vietnam Healing Wall travels through Mission Valley

Veterans on motorcycles will be escorting “The Wall That Heals” through Lake County Tuesday, Aug. 20 on its way from Missoula to Whitefish.

 

The half-scale replica of the Vietnam Wall will be hosted by VFW Post 277 for four days in Whitefish, from Wednesday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 25.

Approximate times the Vietnam Healing Wall will be in Mission Valley towns are:

Arlee - 8:30 to 9 a.m. in Zimmerino’s parking lot, departure 9:30 a.m.

St. Ignatius - 10:30 to 11 a.m., west side of Lake County Bank parking lot, departure noon to 12:30 p.m.

Ronan - 1 to 1:30 p.m., VFW Post, Ronan Ladies Auxiliary will be serving lunch; departure 2 to 2:30 p.m.

Pablo - 3 to 3:30 p.m., northeast parking lot of old Tribal Complex building, departure 4 to 4:30 p.m.

Polson - 5 to 5:30 p.m., Second Street W., departure, 6 to 6:30 p.m.

Arrive in Whitefish at 8 to 8:30 p.m.

The Vietnam Healing Wall came from Oregon and will be continuing on to Iowa.
