Birthdays celebrated at Ronan Senior Center

RONAN — Have you about been run out of town by the bees? They seem to be a little worse than usual this year.
Well, the Ronan Senior Center has been painted on the outside, and now the new railings have been put in place. It will make it a lot nice for our seniors to have something sturdy to hang onto. Thanks, John Delaurenti, for doing such a job on them.
The Foot Clinic is on Wednesday, Aug. 21. We still have spaces left, so come in if you need to have your nails clipped. The clinic runs from 10 a.m. until noon, and there is no charge (but donations are appreciated).
Our birthday dinner is on Friday, Aug. 30, and we will be serving roast beef.
We still have some of our seniors in the hospital. We hope that Bernadine, John, Marilyn and Mary are on the road to recovery and able to go home soon. Stop in and visit them while you are in town. It gets kind of boring and lonely when you are in the hospital for so long.
If you need a ride to a medical appointment or to go shopping, give Jan a call at (406) 676-2368, and she can arrange a ride for you. You can also call her if you have some spare time on your hands and would like to volunteer to drive for them. They provide the car and the gas, all you need is the time and the willingness to help.
All of the senior services in Lake County are run on a non-profit basis. We rely on government funds (which get cut every year) and upon donations. Most of our centers are running on low budgets, and any and all donations to your local center are greatly appreciated.

• Wednesday, Aug. 21 - pork chops
• Friday, Aug. 23 – goulash
• Monday, Aug. 26 – spaghetti
• Wednesday, Aug. 28 – salsa chicken
• Friday, Aug. 30 – roast beef
