News from Lake County Republican Women

POLSON — Polson attorney Doug Wold will be presenting “Islamic World View: Core Differences in Religion, Laws and Goals” Monday, Sept. 9, in the Community Room of the North Lake County Public Library, beginning at 7 p.m.

This is the first in a series of informational programs being planned by the Lake County Republican Women. All will be on current topics of general interest and are open to the public.

Wold’s interest in Middle East affairs matured during a trip to Israel. He has since studied and will explain the critical differences between the Christian and Islamic religions, laws and world outlooks and will discuss the current state of Islam in the U.S.

Wold is a third generation Montanan. He graduated in finance from the University of Montana, then studied at the Goethe Institut in Germany, then to the University of Southern California for graduate work, back to the UM for law school, then to the University of Virginia school of law for U.S. Army JAGC school, and finally to George Washington University for a masters degree in law.

He served nearly four years as an Army trial and appellate lawyer, and was an assistant Montana Attorney General before establishing a private civil law trial practice in Polson 48 years ago.
