ARLEE —Arlee Senior Citizen’s Center will hold a large yard sale/rummage sale on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 13-14, from 9 a.m-3 p.m. We have a good selection of bookcases, desks, end tables, TV stands, a headboard and bed frame, and other furniture items, all refurbished and in clean condition. There is also a small vacuum and a nearly new Kirby floor scrubber in the collection, along with a variety of dishware and miscellaneous house wares.

The monthly foot clinic will be held on Sept. 27. Jane will be there ready to help you at 11 a.m. Put this on your calendar and pass the word to friends who may have need of such assistance. Care of your feet becomes especially important for individuals with diabetes, and/or those who have difficulties doing their own foot care because of stiff and painful joints.

The regular "second Saturday dinner" on Sept. 14 will be a special time this month. We planned it as a celebration of the return of fall, with a turkey dinner and all the trimmings. In addition, we will mark the 70th wedding anniversary of Vi and Harold Tanner with cake and ice cream provided by their family.

As a reminder, we have the “Happy Scrappy” quilt, donated to our center by the Arlee Quilting Group, on display. Tickets on the quilt are available until the fourth Saturday dinner on Oct. 26, when the name of the winner will be drawn. Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. You do not have to be present to win.
