I support Murat Kalinyaprak for City Councilman in Ward 2. He has attended Polson City Council meetings for many years and has seen many things that need improvement. He has participated as a citizen, but found it very difficult to get public information and offer input into the decision process. I think he will make a stronger impact for the citizens of Polson if he served as one of the members of the council.
Last month, after a year of struggling to get enough information from the city and then building a timeline, he was able to get on the City Council Agenda and give a presentation. The result led to recovering more than $24,000 in delinquent tax revenues. Over the years he was also able to have other accomplishments, netting the city money and improving policies. He could be much more effective for the taxpayers working within the system. He has also promised to provide more openness in city government and support only those projects that are within the law and ethical. He has a good history of being involved with trying to get city government to work for the taxpayers as opposed to special interest groups. Please vote for Murat for Council Member in Ward 2.
