RONAN — Well, September is gone, and October and the cooler weather and rain are here. Instead of complaining about how hot and dry it is, we can now complain about how cold and wet it is. Change is good, especially since it seems that we are never satisfied.

We had a great birthday dinner last Friday with 80 people in attendance and 23 home delivered meals. We had nine guests and also enjoyed the live music. A big thanks goes to all who came and to those who played such wonderful music. Our monthly board meeting will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7.

We will not be serving a meal on Wednesday, Oct. 9, since we are having a training meeting here at the center.

Our Thursday night meal will be served at 5 p.m. on Oct. 10 and we will have chicken. The cost is only $5 and all are invited to attend.

Flu shots will be given here on Friday, Oct. 11, starting at 12:30 p.m. If you are on Medicare, don’t forget your cards. If you are not on Medicare, the shots will cost $25.

The foot clinic will be held here on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon. Call us at (406) 676-2371 and we will get your name on the list.

The Nutrition Program will have a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Oct.19, from 4-7 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $5 per person, or $20 per family.

Don’t forget about the Council on Aging raffle. They are selling tickets to win a 47-inch television, a quilt and several smaller prizes. Come in and see the prizes at the center and purchase tickets, or call them at (406) 676-2368. Tickets cost $2 each or $5 for three.

Our menu is:

• Wednesday, Oct. 2: chicken fried steak

• Friday, Oct. 4: liver and onions

• Monday, Oct. 7: potato bar

• Wednesday, Oct. 9: we are closed for training

• Thursday, Oct.10: chicken at 5 pm.

•Friday, Oct. 11: soup and sandwiches

Have a great week, and remember that Christmas is less than three months away.
