Mission senior center to host rummage sale

ST. IGNATIUS — The St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center will have its annual fall rummage sale Tuesday, Oct. 8, to Friday, Oct. 11. The sale will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. A bake sale will also be held that Friday. Good, clean items for the rummage sale are being accepted at the center.
The Lake County Health Department will be giving flu shots in the center on Tuesday, Oct. 8, from 11 a.m.-noon. Seniors are asked to bring their Medicare cards with them. Diners at the evening meal on Wednesday, Oct. 2, not Oct. 16, will be entertained by guitarists and singers Tim Krantz and Lyle Cronk. The public is invited to come to all of the center’s meals.
A volunteer will clip toe nails at the center on Friday, Oct. 4, beginning at 10 a.m. Please sign up for clipping.
Because there are five Mondays in September, pinochle will be played for the second time this month in the center on Monday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. In the most recent pinochle session, Marian Sands won high, Lyle Hilfigure took low, Joyce Siers won pinochle and Judy Penfield won the door prize.

• Wednesday, Oct. 2: roast beef dinner and music, 5 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 3: quilters
• Friday, Oct. 4: toe nail clipping, 10 a.m., breakfast casserole lunch
• Tuesday, Oct. 8: sloppy Joes lunch
• Tuesday-Friday, Oct. 8-11: rummage sale
• Thursday, Oct. 10: quilters
• Friday, Oct. 11: bake sale, baked chicken/birthday cake lunch
• Monday, Oct. 14: pinochle, 7 p.m.
• Tuesday, Oct. 15: spaghetti lunch
• Wednesday, Oct. 16: roast pork dinner, 5:30 p.m.
• Thursday, Oct. 17: quilters
• Friday, Oct. 18: tomato hamburger casserole lunch
• Tuesday, Oct. 22: ham casserole lunch
• Thursday, Oct. 24: quilters
• Saturday, Oct. 26: chicken potpie lunch
• Tuesday, Oct. 29: Halloween lunch
• Wednesday, Oct. 31: quilters
Ayleen’s Quilters quilt in the center most Thursdays. Bingo is played after almost every lunch.
