Justice of the peace Chuck Wall heard the following cases from Sept. 17 to Sept. 23:

Isaac Henry Cordova, 25, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol, second offense. Cordova was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days with 166 suspended and fined $600 plus $85 in court costs.

He also pleaded not guilty to fleeing from or eluding a peace officer.

He was found guilty and sentenced to 365 days in jail with 358 suspended and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs.

Arlene Ackermann, 46, pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration of 0.08% BAC or greater, first offense. She was found guilty, sentenced to 10 days in jail with all suspended, fined $400 plus $85 in court costs. Ackerman also pleaded not guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license, expired more than 180 days. She was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with all suspended and fined $200 plus $35 in court costs.

James Snyder, 19, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid driver’s license, expired less than 180 days. 

He was found guilty and fined $100 plus $35 in court costs.

Monika Mitchell Kibler, 46, pleaded guilty to careless driving, operating vehicle without liability insurance (first offense) and operating with expired insurance (expired four months.) 

For these three charges, she was fined a total of $350 plus $105 in court costs.

Jose Andres Gonzalez, 19, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while privilege to do so is suspended or revoked. He was found guilty, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 suspended, and fined $250 plus $35 in court costs.

William Duff Vanalstine, 54, pleaded guilty to speeding in a restricted or special zone, going 65 mph in a 50 mph zone. 

He was found guilty and fined $30 plus $35 in court costs. 

He also pleaded guilty for failing to carry proof of insurance in vehicle, first offense. For that charge, he was fined $150 plus $35 in court costs.
