Polson High School speakers, debaters place at Columbia Falls meet

POLSON — The long season for the Polson Speech team went into its second week as students finished third at the Columbia Falls Invitational Speech, Debate, and Drama meet on Saturday, Nov. 2. Competitors will finish the season in January at district and state meets.
The finalists for Polson were:
3rd Place, Haley Kendley, Expository Speaking
4th Place, Memorized Public Address, Kylie Koberg
4th Place, Policy Debate, Annabelle Smith and Katie Stobie
5th Place, Policy Debate, Tommy Mercer and Sam Heutmaker
6th Place, Serious Oral Interpretation, Lindy Rutledge
7th Place, Expository Speaking, Shannon McGinnis
8th Place, Memorized Public Address, Hannah Hodges
As a team, the Pirates amassed enough points to pull down a third place finish in Class A Speech, following Columbia Falls and Stevensville.
