Editor,

First of all, thanks to those of you who voted for me. Next election I will be more prepared and since I have worked off the reservation for the last several years, many of you didn’t know me.

That is going to change.

Second, all I hear is change is needed in our present government and now the incumbents are going to be on the ballot again. How can we have a change and give someone else a chance if you don’t get out and vote.

I ran for Tribal Council to try and make a change and said “My Voice Will Be Your Voice.” If you don’t get out and vote, the same people that you complain about will be back in there. As we all know, they do not listen, are very rude and eject and escort members from council meetings. Is that how you want your Tribal Council to act? We need a new Tribal Council that will be respectful and listen to our people and be concerned for our needs.

Now is the time to make a much-needed change. Remember all the district meetings the Council had regarding the Salazar monies and promised they would do what the people wanted which was a 100 percent payout? Did they listen? Of course not.

Please, please get out and vote and don’t vote with your eyes closed. See you at next election. Lem Lemts.
