ARLEE — A pair of suspected burglars were taken into custody by Lake County sheriff’s deputies and Tribal police Wednesday, Nov. 13, shortly after noon.

According to Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin, Tribal police and sheriff’s deputies responded after a report of a possible burglary in progress on Sackwoman Circle in Arlee.

The person who called police told dispatch they observed people drive up to the residence with a purple two-door car and begin removing furniture.

Police encountered a purple car in Ravalli and performed a traffic stop.

They were able to recover a large flat-screen television, a DVD player and other electronics.

Yonkin said charges have not been filed in the case yet, but a man and a female were taken into custody.

Jessie McDonald, 32, of Arlee was turned over to the U.S. Marshals for an absconding warrant.

A female was transported to Tribal Jail for unrelated charges.
