DIXON — Gobble, Gobble to you all. Count your blessings on Thanksgiving and share yourself with others.
We had a great bunch of diners for our turkey feast. Cook Diane treats us to something new now and then, like homemade crescent rolls recently. We certainly are thankful for her delicious and creative meals. And thanks to each of you who comes to share.
There will be no senior meal on Thanksgiving Day served at the center. Come at 5 p.m. on Mondays and at noon on Thursdays and we will have:
• Monday, Dec. 2: Tilapia (fish)
• Thursday, Dec. 5: baked chicken
• Monday, Dec. 9: roast beef
• Thursday, Dec. 12: brunch for lunch—french toast, quiche and bacon.
Our annual Christmas party will be after the Thursday meal on Dec. 19. Come join in a fun time. Bring a wrapped gift (under $10) and label it for a man, a woman, or either and see what you end up with. Word has come from our friends Don and Joyce; they are both settled in their new home at the Columbia Falls Veterans Home. Don has already found a coffee klatch to hang out in.
Faye Pitts is still in the Ronan hospital and is cheery in spite of her recuperation from falls. I’m sure she would welcome a note or call to cheer her on.
Do have a safe and appreciative Thanksgiving. We still live in a great place.
