ST. IGNATIUS — Mission Chief of Police Jeffrey Ferguson wants to remind townspeople that they are subject to ticketing if they break parking ordinances meant to keep roads clear for snowplowing in the winter months.

Parking is prohibited on the following streets from 3 a.m. until 8 a.m. from Oct. 15 until March 15: 1st Street between Blaine and Crystal;

N. Main between Blaine and Crystal; Arrow; Blaine; Crystal; Diamond; Emerald; Flathead; and Glacier View Streets.

Ferguson also reminds citizens that it is illegal to park for more than two hours on Blaine Street between N. Main and 2nd Avenue or on N. Main From Blaine Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The St. Ignatius Town Council instructed Ferguson at a Dec. 3 meeting to crack down on enforcing the laws because lawbreakers have complicated snowplowing efforts in recent weeks.
