KALISPELL – Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will hold a northwest Montana meeting on the 2014-15 hunting regulation proposals at the Red Lion Hotel, Kalispell Center Mall, on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014. Other meetings are scheduled in other towns, but this is the main hearing for collecting comments from hunters across Region One.

An open house will be from 9-10 a.m. FWP biologists and managers will provide information on wildlife populations and proposed regulations. The hearing begins at 10 a.m. Time for public feedback will be allotted for each group of tentative regulations.

The proposals encompass hunting season dates and nearly all huntable species in the state. Details on all the proposed hunting regulations are available at fwp.mt.gov. Also included is a calendar of 40 statewide meetings and additional proposal information. Submit comments online and at local meetings or send written comments to: FWP—Wildlife Bureau, Attn: Public Comment, P.O. Box 200701, Helena, MT 59620-0701. Final regulations will be adopted at the Helena meeting on Feb. 13, 2014.
