Editor,

Where in Polson can one shop for quality used items? You can get it all at the Country Store in Polson, sometimes referred to as “that boutique on Main Street.”

The Country Store has been serving Polson and the surrounding area in various capacities for 40 years. The store’s principal purpose is to provide clean, usable, recycled merchandise to consumers at an affordable price. Another way the community is helped is by the store’s donations from its proceeds to various local charities, and organizations.

Workers from 10 area churches donate their time and energy to make up the workforce that sorts through boxes and bags of used donations, trying to make sure that only good articles are offered for sale.

They maintain a pleasant shopping area, and recycle excess merchandise to entities that can use it. They sort, wash, press, price, and try to make the store a friendly place for Polson and close communities to shop.

There have even been shoppers from as far away as California and Hawaii, and some saying that this is the best second-hand store they have been in.

Due to a limited space, the store is not able to accept or offer large articles such as furniture, appliances, computers or TVs. Also, due to the possibility of donations getting rained on or ransacked, we ask that nothing is left outside the back door after hours. Otherwise, the Country Store welcomes your donations, as without you, we would not be in business.
