Kevin Barry Kirwan

POLSON — Kevin Barry Kirwan, 37 years old, passed away on July 7, 2010, in his sleep of natural causes in Woodburn, Ore.

Born Aug. 9, 1972 in Missoula, Kirwan attended Polson High School and Salish Kootenai College. 

He studied for certification as an emergency medical technician at Clakamas Community College in Oregon.

On Sept. 21, 1996, he married his best friend and the love of his life, Nicole Christine Sanders, in Portland, Ore.

After moving to Oregon, he worked for Texaco, Hubbard Chevrolet, Rite-Aid, and most recently as a purchaser for Canby Builders Supply.

He also founded and operated ABC Striping Co. and had recently become business owner through ACN Network.

Kevin was a volunteer firefighter in Hubbard, a board member for Canby Junior baseball and an active member of South Lake Foursquare Church in West Linn. 

Kevin was a fishing enthusiast who loved the outdoors while enjoying playing guitar and singing duets with his children.

The final eight years of Kevin’s life were dedicated to his family and to serving his Lord by helping others in the community. His exuberance for life, his quick humor and his easy smile are remembered by all who loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Nike; two sons, Jacob and Kennon; one daughter, Hannah; his parents, Thomas Patrick Kirwan and Michael and Mary Foot; brothers James Kirwan (Rebecca), Michael Kirwan (Tammy) and Sean Foot; sisters Katie Reilley (Bob), Shannon Kirwan (Randy), Heather Mergenthaler (Brande), Maria Foot; his aunt, Noreen Olson; 17 nieces and nephews, and two great nephews.
