Bette Marie Lillethun
RONAN — Bette Marie Lillethun, 90, passed away of natural causes at St. Luke Extended Care on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.
She was born to Ruth and Russell Wilson on Oct. 5, 1923, at the Catholic Hospital in St. Ignatius. She was the older of two children. She grew up in Charlo and attended grade school and high school there. For most of her youth she lived with her grandfather Mast and her grandmother and grandfather Wilson. Bette married Kenneth Lillethun in 1940. They resided in the Mission Valley for nearly all of their married life.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Russell Wilson; her husband Kenneth; her brother Donald Wilson and her grandson Christian Carlyle.
Survivors include her son Craig Lillethun (Laurie) of Ronan; her daughters Dana Moss (Jim) of Anatone, Wash., and Rosiland Carlyle (Richard) of Polson. Bette’s nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren also survive her.
Bette is best known to her family and friends for her loving and sweet spirit and her beautiful smile. She leaves a legacy of providing many years of delicious meals and baked goods for her family and friends.
She greatly appreciated the special care she received at St. Luke Extended Care. No service is planned. Cremation has taken place at Shrider-Thompson Funeral and Cremation Services.
