ST. IGNATIUS – After boasting a 4-0 record before their winter break, the Bulldogs are looking to relight that spark after dropping their last four games.

On Thursday the Bulldogs hosted Loyola-Sacred Heart and although they kept the contest close, Mission just couldn’t find the edge to overcome Loyola in the 60-65 game. Bulldog Stuart Grant led his team with 20 points and Aaron Fisher-Ahenakew came away with 15.

In another close game at home, the Bulldogs fell to Arlee on Saturday, 74-76. Though Mission had the slight lead coming out of halftime, a seven-point run by the Warriors in the third quarter was enough to hold the Bulldogs down. Point leader Fisher-Ahenakew put up 26 points and teammate Grant added 23.

The Bulldogs will hop the bus to Ronan to take on the Chiefs Jan. 17 and then return to host Troy Jan. 18.
