John Gordon Kaye
POLSON — After a long battle with cancer, John Gordon Kaye went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ, July 13, 2010.
He was born September 3, 1932 in Reseda, California. He fought the good fight and won the big race. His request: “Please don’t weep for me as I’m now with my Lord and rejoice knowing that I am at peace. Praise the Lord always“.
Surviving loved ones include wife Barbara Kaye and son Jim Engelsberger of Polson; and daughter and son-in-law Karen and Jon Lopez, daughter Kathy Kaye, son David Kaye, and grandchildren Jason and Angela Lopez and Brandon Kaye – all of California.
John, Barbara and Jim moved to Polson in 1980 on John‘s Gateway Cherry Orchard “adventure.” John‘s smiling face became well known at Gambles, B&B, and Safeway. He retired in 1999 after 45 years in the grocery industry.
He loved his Lord Jesus Christ, his country, his family and his many friends. He served the U.S. Air Force, and was active in his church.
He will be missed but we know he is at peace and in glory with his Savior, our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.
A memorial service was Tuesday, July 20 at the Polson Alliance Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to Polson Alliance Missions may be made.
