RONAN – Superintendent Andy Holmlund will lead the Ronan School District through the 2016-2017 school year.
In a 4-1 Feb. 10 vote that saw no discussion, trustees approved a $122,000 base salary for Holmlund for that school year. It will be the same as his 2015-2016 base salary, but a slight increase from the 2014-2015 salary of $118,000. Holmlund has served as superintendent for more than a decade.
In other business:
• The board made the following hires: Tricia Andersen, middle school assistant tennis coach; Ryan Wells, high school assistant tennis coach; Jim Blow, middle school tennis coordinator; Shelly Buhr, high school assistant track coach; Rod Harris, high school assistant track coach; Teralynn Flink, middle school assistant track coach; Gabriel Johnson, middle school assistant track coach; Dan (Hap) Cheff, middle school track coordinator; Stephanie Swigart, middle school Academic Bowl Co-Advisor; Turner Paddock, middle school Academic Bowl Co-Advisor; Tricia Clairmont, special education paraprofessional; Adrienna DeCock, assistant high school track coach; and Riley Dennis, assistant middle school track coach.
• The board approved a March overnight FFA field trip to Great Falls and an April overnight field trip for the show choir to Spokane.
• The board called for the election of board members. The seats currently held by Fabian Deneault, Carmel Couture, and Mark Clary are up for election.
