Season ends for Bulldogs

HAMILTON – The Bulldogs had their ups and downs throughout the season but were able to go home 1-2 from the Divisional Tournament in Hamilton.

In game one on Thursday, the Bulldogs had the unfortunate pleasure of meeting Bigfork, the undefeated divisional champs. While lagging behind right out of the gate, Bulldog Stuart Grant fought for his team by netting 21 points, including four three-pointers.

In loser out game two, Mission proved they were there to play, leading the Plains Horseman back to their corrals in the 67-56 victory. Grant high-scored for the Bulldogs with 21 points. Jarred Brown and Aaron Fisher-Ahenakew each added 12 apiece.

Game three proved to be tough for the Bulldogs as they fell 60-70 to Eureka. Though Mission kept it tied through the first three quarters, the Lions outscored the Bulldogs by 10 in the fourth, giving Mission their final loss of the season. Grant put up 18 points and Brown added 17 for Mission.

The Bulldogs finished with a season record of 6-16.
