Spike strips end chase

LAKE COUNTY — Polson Police used spike strips to stop a thief that led mutliple law enforcement agencies on a chase Friday, March 14. 

A security officer spotted a man hooking up to a trailer full of tools at a storage yard near Pablo, Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin said. 

The man took off with the trailer when approached by law enforcement. He clipped a Pablo building in the chase. 

Montana Highway Patrol, Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Flathead Tribal Police helped in the pursuit. 

Polson Police deployed spike strips at approximately 5:30 p.m. near Polson Middle School and stopped the vehicle. 

The man did not cooperate with officers and was tased as a result. 

Boe Alan Miller, 37, was charged with two counts of felony assault on a peace officer and one count of felony buy/sell of stolen property. 

He remained in Lake County jail as of Monday morning.
