All life is sacred

Editor,
I just received a phone call from someone representing the State Planned Parenthood association.
She stated that the passing of the Personhood Amendment to the State Constitution would threaten the rights of a woman to have an abortion.
That is impossible. Not only is abortion legal in all of America, but since the passage of the Health Care Reform bill, Planned Parenthood - the largest single provider of abortions in America - is now funded by the Federal Government.
A personhood amendment to our constitution will establish only one thing: that the people of Montana agree with the scientific evidence which shows beyond a doubt that human life begins at the moment of conception.
What happens to that life is up to minds and consciences of our society. Along with assisted suicide, euthanasia, and the death penalty, the taking of a human life in abortion, is up to each one of us to decide whether or not all life is sacred.
I urge you think about it, pray about it, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance when someone offers you the opportunity to sign a petition in support of CI 102.
