Gust Joseph Aipperspach

RONAN — Gust Joseph Aipperspach, age 76, passed away July 9, 2012, in his residence. He was born March 11, 1936, in Stutsman County, N.D., to John and Susie (Kaseman) Aipperspach. He spent most of his life in Montana and the western states. He was a true cowboy at heart and a real gentleman. His family and loyal friends were always extremely important to him, and he was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children: Tony Aipperspach (Toni) of Rochester, Autumn Truax (Matt) of Byron, Kim Aipperspach (Denise) of Ronan, Brad Aipperspach (Marina) of Missoula, and Tammy Aipperspach of Hot Springs; as well as four stepchildren; fourteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  He also leaves behind his siblings: John Aipperspach (Beverly) of Springfield, Mo., Selma Brown of Norfolk, Va., Esther Snow (Carl) of Church Falls, Va., and Ivagene Weippert (Clarence) of Ada, Minn.

His parents and three siblings preceded him in death. A memorial gathering to honor and celebrate his life was held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn. on Saturday, July 14. His cremated remains will be returned to the open range of Montana, as was his personal wish.
