FRENCHTOWN – The Lady Bulldogs were on fire at the Frenchtown Invitational, strong-arming their way to a pair of victories. In the MAC/Great Falls Central matchup, the Lady Bulldogs trapped the lead early on and limited Great Falls to only two innings of scoring in the 10-4 win. Courtney Charlo threw the first four innings to pick up the win and Jaycee Anderson took the circle for the final three, shutting down her opponent. Alyssa Doty was 2-4 with three RBIs while Mikaylan Roylance and Jordyn Eichert drove in two each.
Against Stevensville, the Lady Bulldogs fell behind by four runs in the third inning but went into super hero mode, scoring 14 in the next three while stomping their way to the 14-4 win. Courtney Charlo struck out eight to log the victory and also went 2-3 at the plate. Emilie Charlo went 2-4 for the game with three RBIs and Morgan Malatare found herself on third with a long triple, also going 2-4.
The Lady Bulldogs will head to Plains for a double-header May 1, return to host Thompson Falls May 2, and then travel to Florence for another double-header May 3.
