POLSON — At a ceremony on Jan. 13 celebrating the successful outcome of a lot of hard work, the city of Polson handed over a key to the city to the North County Public Library. Although the name of the library changed from Polson City Library, everything else remained the same.

After opening remarks, Polson city manager Todd Crossett presented librarian Marilyn Trosper with a plaque for “23 years of distinguished service” as the Polson City librarian.

Then Mayor Pat DeVries took the floor and presented the giant gold key to North Lake Country Library board chair Jackie Gran.

Gran thanked all the hardworkers on the board and committees who toiled endlessly, presented information and campaigned for the library levy and stable funding for the library.

About 20 people attended the dedication of the new library district. Coffee and hors d’oeuvres were served courtesy of the city.
