Editor,

Dan Salomon was born and raised right here in Lake County, raising his family in Ronan where his children attended school. He’s a graduate of Montana State University and has proudly served as our State Representative since 2010 in Helena. During this tenure he has served on the Agriculture and Education committees, as well as appointed Vice Chair of the Business & Labor Committee – one of the most demanding committees in the legislature.

Dan’s ratings for his service include a 90 percent grade by the Montana Family Foundation, a 94 percent grade by the United Property Owners of Montana, 97 percent grade by the Montana Contractors’ Association and a perfect 100 percent grade from the Montana Chamber of Commerce. He is endorsed by the Montana Right to Life Association, the Montana Shooting Sports Association, the Montana Contractors’ Association and the National Rifle Association.

Bill Barron is a Montanan, born and raised, and has lived in Lake County for 18 years. With a strong background in public service, currently serving as our incumbent commissioner, serving two terms as Lake County Sheriff, working with the Polson police department, and serving on multiple public service entities, Bill is the only candidate with proven effective government experience to lead Lake County.

Today Lake County has an $18 million dollar annual budget, nearly 30,000 residents and approximately 200 employees. Our citizens deserve professional competent leadership. Bill has delivered on his commitment and has the right skills to lead Lake County forward. Bill is a proven leader with practical and effective management skills, bringing people of all views together to achieve consensus. With the issues before the citizens of Lake County today, we need Bill’s proven leadership and calm, common sense collaborative approach.

Please join me in supporting Bill Barron for Commissioner and Dan Salomon for House District 93. Absentee election ballots have been mailed and Election Day is June 3, 2014. Please register to vote and make sure your vote is counted.
