Polson shines on Northwestern A Divisional courts

KALISPELL — In Kalispell on Friday and Saturday, the Pirates and Lady Pirates lit up the courts in what would be the battle set for Divisional titles.
Pirate Brady Hislop took home the honor of champion, winning the final match in a double-bagel shutdown against Whitefish’s Holden Roberts, 6-0, 6-0.
Pirates’ doubles team Dylan McCrumb/Layne Zimmerman defeated Libby’s Mason Gedlaman/Caleb Baumann team 6-2, 6-3 to take first place in the doubles division.
Lady Pirates secured a first place of their own with doubles team Mollybeth Henrix/Taylor Rost. Hendix and Rost had to compete against their own teammates, defeating Lady Pirates Marlee Congdon/Karly Rochin 6-3, 3-3 and giving the Lady Pirates doubles both first and second place for the Divisionals tournament. Shawna Oakley placed second for the singles round.
Polson will head to State in Billings May 22-24.
