Bruce Barton Campbell

POLSON — Bruce Barton Campbell, age 73, passed away into the arms of his savior on Monday, June 16, 2014, at The Pines of Mission in St. Ignatius.

He was born on June 14, 1941, in Minot, N.D., the son of Harry and Mildred Campbell. 

He received a degree in drafting from the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, N. D. He was united in marriage to Linda Ike in 1960 and they were married for 49 years.

He was a very faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a past member of Polson Kiwanis, loved to hunt, and especially enjoyed his cabin in the Swan Valley.

Bruce enjoyed many projects - he loved to work and get it done.

He was a businessman in Polson for many years owning Cherry Hill Motel, C&R Pontiac and Polson Paint and Glass and in later years was a realtor for Signature Realty and an insurance agent for Lake County Farmers Mutual Insurance. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Linda; his mother Mildred and his father Harry.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura Burrowes and husband Jim, Jennifer Salois and husband Chuck all of Polson and son John Campbell and wife Cheri of Olympia, Wash.; two sisters: Janet Campbell of New Mexico and Kathy Okland of Minnesota; grandchildren: Brianne Burrowes of Phoenix, Ariz., Mara Fitzgerald of Helena, Kaitlyn Burrowes of Polson, Michael and Amanda Campbell of Olympia, Wash., Alexander and Josie Salois of Polson; and a great-grandson Hayden Fitzgerald and numerous other family, including cousins, nieces, nephews and sisters in law and brothers in law.

We would like to thank both hospice and the Pines for their love, care and concern and also to Dr. Rausch for making house calls.

Funeral services for Bruce will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. D.O. Jacobson officiating. Burial will follow the services at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Grogan Funeral Home. 

Memorials for Bruce Campbell may be made to Lake County Relay for Life.
