Raffle helps fund handicap ramp

RONAN — Many, many years ago, I was at an amusement park in Portland, Ore. One of their biggest attractions was a big, wooden roller coaster. I was a chicken, never went on it and have always regretted it. Last Wednesday, my daughter and I took four grandkids to Silverwood, where there is a big, wooden rollercoaster. Not to be out done by the grandkids, I went on it. And I regretted it. I will never, never, ever, again go on one of those monsters.
Our evening meal is this Thursday, at 5 p.m. A great pork roast dinner is on the menu for only $5 per person. The foot clinic is at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, July 16. Call (406) 676-2371, to get your name on the list. Cards will be played here on Monday, July 21. They start playing at 7 p.m., and anyone who likes to play Pinochle is welcome to join them.
Our birthday dinner will be on Friday, July 25. At that time, it will be only five months until Christmas.
Congratulations to Joan Sampson on winning the basket that we were raffling off. We raise around $100 with this raffle and that will go to defray the cost of our wonderful new handicap ramp.
Our condolences go to the Wallace Croft family. Wallace was one our “Meals on Wheels” clients and he passed away last week.
Our menu is as follows:
• Wednesday, July 9: chicken or tuna salad in a pita pocket
• Thursday, July 10: pork roast
• Friday, July 11: Waikiki meatballs
• Monday, July 14: baked ham
• Wednesday, July 16: taco bake
We’d love to have you join us for a meal and fellowship: meals are at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for $4 for 60 plus and $5 under 60.
