CHARLO — The Charlo Dixon Fine Arts Camp sponsored by the Ninepipe Arts Group just completed its 13th year. This year’s theme was Fishing for Art and included a trip to the Ninepipe Museum of early Montana History and the Fish Wildlife and Parks Fishing Access on Ninepipe Reservoir.
This year’s 65 campers included children from as far away as Maryland, Oregon and the state of Washington. In addition to the 65 campers, we also had previous art campers who now volunteer.
Cooperation from the Charlo and Dixon Schools is very much appreciated. A 21st Century Grant provided breakfast and snacks.
Four days of good fun, excellent teachers and talented campers produced wonderful projects.
The highlight of Art Camp was a great display of completed art projects and a group dance performance by the campers to the enjoyment of their family and friends.
