Warriors bury Prospectors at homecoming

ARLEE — The Warriors won their homecoming matchup against the Philipsburg Prospectors 50-28. Senior Zach Tameler scored six of Arlee’s seven touchdowns of the game.

Arlee started out quick in the first quarter, scoring off of an eight yard run from Tameler but failed to gain the extra two points. Then Cody Sheridan connected with Jesse Durham for a 60-yard touchdown pass and the Warriors picked up the two-point conversion. The score at the end of the first quarter was 14-0.

In the second quarter, Philipsburg battled back scoring 22 points, but Tameler answered back with two touchdowns to keep the Warriors ahead. Tameler scored one touchdown off a 14-yard run and the other from a 71-yard return. The score going into halftime was 28-22

In the third quarter, the Warrior defense held Philipsburg at 22 and went on a scoring streak of 14 points. The score at the end of the third quarter was 42-22.

In the fourth quarter, Arlee scored a touchdown and converted for two more points. Philipsburg also scored a 4th quarter touchdown but it was too late and the Warriors won the game 50-28.
