Fifth Friday dinner held
POLSON – Polson Community Church, located at 1814 First Street E, will serve chili, cornbread, vegetable salad and dessert. Dinner will be served from 4:30-6:30 p.m. No offering is expected or accepted. Please come and join us for a wonderful night of food and friendship.
First Festival of Trees viewing event held
POLSON — The first annual Mission Valley Festival of Trees public viewing will take place on Friday, Nov. 30, from 7-9 p.m. after the Parade of Lights at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. The entry fee is $5 per family, and includes a hot cocoa bar, pictures with Santa (bring your camera), music, beautiful trees and wreaths. There will also be a special Friday night raffle. The Festival of Trees is made possible by the Mission Valley Youth Foundation, a non-profit organization. All proceeds benefit youth organizations in the Mission Valley. This is the first Festival of Trees public viewing in our 20 year history.
Movie shown about saving the world
POLSON — Friday is movie day at the North Lake County Library. On Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m. come watch a movie about saving the world one tomorrow at a time. The characters in this recent live-action Disney movie know that the stakes are high and the danger is real.

Find holiday gifts at bazaar, fundraiser
POLSON — Busy Elves’ Holiday Extravaganza takes place on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Polson Red Lion. There will be crafts, baked goods and the best gifts ever. As a fundraiser, Search and Rescue will offer gift wrapping.

Join accordionists for Christmas party
POLSON — Sunday, Dec. 2, is the date for Accordionists Association's Christmas party at the Elks on Main Street in Polson. Betty Carter has asked that everyone who can bring finger-food type snacks to share do so. This way we can all take some back to our tables to eat. Also, wear Christmas colors if you have them. Neither one is a requirement so please come. There will be plenty for everyone. The association members would love to be a part of your Christmas season. POLSON — A classic Christmas movie will be shown on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. at the North Lake County Library. Check our website for the three movie titles that will be shown in December. Yes, we will be serving popcorn. These are family friendly films. The showings are free and open to the public.

Celebrate December birthdays at dance
POLSON — Please join us for the community birthday dance in the ballroom at the Elks on Main Street on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 7-10 p.m. Music is by Ken’s Country Combo who play a variety of country and vintage rock and roll tunes. Snacks are provided during the break at 8:30 p.m. We will celebrate December birthdays with a special cake. Everyone is welcome. The birthday dance was moved to the first Wednesday in December due to our Christmas Party being on the third Wednesday in December. An Elks membership is not required. The cover charge is $5. Come and check us out.

Ease holiday stress with coloring experience
POLSON —Do you feel stressed this time of year? Give yourself the gift of an afternoon of coloring in the meeting room at the North Lake County Library, especially if you haven’t experienced coloring before. The mood is relaxed in good company. Coloring choices can be used for gift-giving and cards. There will be treats. Everyone is invited to join us. The adult coloring program takes place on Thursday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m.

MVCA to hold winter dinner fundraiser
POLSON — The Mission Valley Christian Academy will hold a winter dinner with a silent auction and guest speaker, NHL hockey player David Booth, on Saturday, Dec. 8, starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are available through the school and are $50 each. The dinner will be held at Polson Alliance Church.

POLSON — Makerspace at North Lake County Library is a 90-minute program beginning at 3:30 p.m. for kids of all ages and their caregivers any Monday the library is open. The project for Monday, Dec. 10, is making a sundial.
