Concert to benefit Toys for Tots
POLSON — The Lake Bar presents a free “Make a Kid Smile” concert on Dec. 13 from 6 p.m. to closing. Bring an unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots program and listen to three bands perform: “Off in the Woods,” “The Slickbacks,” and “Free Radicals.”

POLSON— On Tuesday, Dec. 17, the North Lake County Public Library will host a Flipster Fun Series beginning at 5 p.m. We will make peppermint sugar scrub. We found the instructions in Willow and Sage winter edition. Make a gift for someone special or to treat yourself. All supplies will be provided. Please RSVP by Dec. 16. Join community dance fun
POLSON — Please join us for the community dance at the Elks on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 7-10 p.m. Music is provided by Ken’s Country Combo playing a variety of classic country and vintage rock and roll. Snacks are provided during the 8:30 p.m. Refreshments may be purchased in the bar next door. No Elks membership is required. The cover charge is $5. Come early as Elks members cook up some good hamburgers for purchase from 5-7 p.m., prior to the dance. Everyone is welcome. Come check us out.
Rural Fire District Board to meet
POLSON — The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District board of trustees will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station No. 1, 25-B Regatta Rd. The meeting agenda is available on the Monday prior to the meeting at the website: lakemt.gov/prfd.

POLSON — Providence St. Joseph Medical Center and Glacier Bank will culminate their holiday season food drive on Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Polson Chamber of Commerce SPLASH held between 5-7 p.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, 6 Thirteenth Ave E.

POLSON — Polson Community Church, 1814 First Street E., will be having a Candlelight Service, Christmas Eve, at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Caroling to precede Christmas service
POLSON — St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 110 Sixth Ave. E, welcomes all to their Christmas service on Dec. 24. We will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service with caroling at 4:30 p.m. and worship beginning at 5 p.m.
Library closed for Christmas holiday
POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday. They will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 26.

POLSON —The Good Coffee Roasting Company will host another free “Pop Up Film Festival” on Sunday Dec. 29, from 4-6 p.m. There will be 12 brand-new films from around the world that will entertain, challenge and widen your perceptions about other people and cultures. POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will close early at 4 p.m. on Dec. 31 for the New Year’s holiday. They will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2, at 10 a.m.

Dance at Elks cancelled
POLSON — The Polson community dance normally held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Elks is cancelled due to the date falling on New Year’s Day. From all of us to all of you, please be safe on New Year’s Eve and we pray the New Year will bring wonderful blessings. We hope to see you all on the third Wednesday of January, Jan. 15, 2020 for dancing fun.

Movie shown at Friday night library event
POLSON — On Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at 6 p.m. a family friendly movie (PG or PG-13) will be shown at the North Lake County Public Library. Movies are shown on the first Friday of each month. Check our website: www.northlakecountylibrary.org. You must be in the library before 6 p.m. to attend, as the doors lock at 6 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Popcorn will be provided. This program is free and open to the public.

Join classic country jammin’
POLSON — Join classic country jammin’ at the Elks on Main Street for a great afternoon of music and fun on Sunday, Jan. 5, from 1-4 p.m. Bring your guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, autoharp, base, keyboard, drum, sax, etc., and come join us for a few hours of jamming and dancing on Sunday afternoon.
If you plan to play, you must bring your own instrument. This is a new jam that will be at the Elks every first Sunday of each month.

Adult coloring program goes ‘South of the Border’
POLSON — On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, from 2-3:30 p.m., the North Lake County Public library will offer an adult coloring program entitled, “South of the Border.” The holidays are over and everyone is ready to head south for some sunshine and warmer temperatures. Let’s make our own heat right here in the library and have some fun with an activity full of vibrant color, Latin rhythm and spicy snacks. We provide the coloring supplies or you may bring your own. Cha-cha-cha!
