POLSON — The Masumola Club’s next meeting is Thursday, May 11. Hosts Christine and Gary Pitts say in May it’s time to do our share to beautify America. We will combine our obligation to police Rocky Point Road with our May meeting. Those who can, please come to the Masumola Clubhouse at 3:45 p.m. to get bags, vests etc. Bring your own gloves. People are also welcome to clean the kitchen etc. if they prefer. Hosts will provide appetizers and beer for people as they finish. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we can do that part outside. Hosts will also provide burgers and condiments for the dinner. Suggested food distribution for dinner is: A – H: salad or veggie; I – O hot dish; P – Z dessert. If you can’t come at 3:45 p.m., please come anyway. We look forward to seeing you all at the Masumola Club.

POLSON — North Lake County Library presents Story Time on Thursdays for 3-5 year olds at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The one-hour program includes reading, rhymes, and crafts. This week’s story theme is “The Stranded Whale.’

POLSON — The April Friendship Table Dinner is on May 12 from 5-6:30 p.m. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. Come join us. This dinner is free and open to all.

POLSON — Please join the Community Food and Agriculture Coalition, Polson Farmers Market, and the Lake County Council on Aging at Farm Road for Local Food for All: A Community Picnic on Saturday, May 13, from 1-6 p.m. The picnic will feature a pop-up art show, a taste of local fare, music, vendors, and a silent auction. Proceeds will increase food access to all at farmers’ markets in the Mission Valley and support the Double SNAP Dollar program. Plated dinner will be served from 3-4 p.m. and local beer will be available. Individual tickets are $20 and a family of four ticket is $75. The event will take place at 35060 Mud Lake Trail. POLSON — A blood drive for the American Red Cross is planned for Saturday, May 13, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Richwine’s Burgerville. The blood drive is being held the day before Mother’s Day in honor of owner Marcia Moen’s mother, Lucille Richwine. Call 406-883- 2620 to schedule your blood donation appointment.

POLSON – The Lake County Democrats will hold their biennial Democrat County Convention to elect officers at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, at the North Lake County Public Library in Polson. Current officers and precinct committeewomen and committeemen will vote to elect officers for the next two years. The public is invited to attend. POLSON — The Polson Kiwanis will have their annual awards luncheon on Thursday, May 18, at the KwaTaq- Nuk Resort from noon-1 p.m. Presentations will be given to our scholarship winner and youth groups in the local community. The Polson Middle School Band will perform top selections from the school year for our listening pleasure. Please join us for this very special occasion.

POLSON — Tolerance is at the heart of the upcoming UnVariety Show, slated for May 19 at KwaTaqNuk Resort on May 19 and is co-sponsored by SKC Spirit of Many Colors, ACLU and SAFE Harbor. Spirit of Many Colors Club is a group founded to offer support to those from the LGBTQ community. This is a chance to come together and have fun, while recognizing the rich diversity within the community. POLSON — The Family Fun Mile and Skyline Challenge Run/Walk supports Lake County Relay for Life on Saturday, May 20. Registration is at 8 a.m. and start is at 9 a.m. at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, Thirteenth Ave. E. Registration forms are available at St. Joseph Medical Center’s front desk. Pre-registration price until May 13 is $35 for a family of four or more and $10 for individuals. After May 13, family registration is $45 and the individual price is $20. POLSON — North Lake County Public Library will host a free Internet Safety class on Tuesday, May 23, at 2 p.m. in the library meeting room. Library Specialist Heather Miles will present an overview of Internet security and how to stay safe online. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptops or tablets to follow along. Library laptops will also be available for attendees who don’t have a device. Anyone of any age or skill level is invited to attend. Registration is required.
