Booster Club serves up shrimp
POLSON — The Polson Booster Club will hold a shrimp boil dinner on Saturday, June 1, from 5-7 p.m. at Glacier Brewing Co, 6 Tenth Ave. E. JIMnI will provide music and there will be awards, door prizes and raffles. Tickets are $35 per person and includes dinner and one drink token. See you there.
New exhibit begins at Sandpiper Art Gallery through June 14
POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, Polson, presents until June 14, “As I Was Wandering.” This exhibit will be everything we love about Montanans and the Montana experience. This show will feature past and present member artists; Sue Arneson (Montana Watercolor Artist), Carolyn Ekland-Olson (World Wide Photography), Karla Martinson (3D Paintings & Publisher), Mary Kelley (Plein Aire and the Old Masters in Oil), Judith Wright (Mixed Media). Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday.

Republicans hear about county’s illegal activities
POLSON — The Lake County Republican Central Committee will meet on Wednesday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Polson Rural Fire Hall conference room. Our county attorney will bring us up to speed on the illegal activity in the county. You will also hear reports from our elected officials. Everyone is always welcome at our meetings. Awards given out at Kiwanis Club meeting
POLSON — Polson Kiwanis Club will meet on Thursday, June 6, at noon, downstairs in the Koostatah Room at the KwaTaqNuk Resort. Robbie Hayes will speak on behalf of Special Olympics and receive an award from Kiwanis. Kiwanis will also present an award to Helping Hands and Tillie Marshall will tell about the progress on its projects, including the successful “Baby Boxes” given to new mothers in local Lake County hospitals. These boxes have been instrumental in lowering infant mortality rates. Shea McGuinness will receive a Polson Key Club scholarship. Kiwanis Club will also be organizing committees for its upcoming fundraiser, the second annual Wine and Beer Festival, to take place on Friday, June 21, at the KOA campground. The public is welcome to attend.

POLSON – The regular monthly meeting of the Polson Rural Fire District Board of Trustees will take place on Wednesday, June 12, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Station No. 1, 25-B Regatta Road. An agenda is available on the Monday prior to the meeting.

Kiwanis Club hosts beer, wine fest
POLSON — The Kiwanis Club is hosting a local beer and wine fest from 6-9 p.m. at the KOA Campground, 200 Irvine Flats Road, on June 14. This fundraiser supports local Kiwanis community projects and local youth activities including scholarships, the Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts, Special Olympics and the Polson Middle School band.
