Recovery support available

RONAN —Recovery support is available for those struggling with addiction at The Never Alone Recovery Hall, at 309 B Main Street, every day of the week. The Never Alone Recovery Hall is a peer support dropin center. We are simply recovering people offering our experience, strength, and hope to our community members who are struggling with addiction issues. All groups and services are free. Please feel welcome to drop in and check us out.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays a noon meditation group is held and from 1-5 p.m. individual peer support is available.

Mondays a women’s support group takes place from 6-8 p.m.

Tuesdays there are recovery stories and videos heard from 6-8 p.m.

Wednesdays Narcotics Anonymous meets from 6-8 p.m.

Thursdays an early recovery skills groups meets from 6-8 p.m.

Fridays from 8-9 p.m. The Red Road to Recovery group meets.

Saturdays a co-dependent support group meets at 5 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. special events take place (events change).

Family movie night happens from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays.

Celebrate Recovery ministers to anyone

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. Join ‘Barefoot Church’ service

POLSON — Weekly Sunday “Barefoot Church” services are at 1 p.m. at the Montana Co-op. Come as you are. Bask in the Spirit, no judgment, just love and worship, forgiveness and healing.

Gather for prayers, readings, meal

POLSON -- Soul-food Saturday is a community gathering at the Co-op HUB to share prayers, readings and discussion on the topic of unity, followed by a light meal. Kids of all ages are welcome; supervision is provided.

New hours announced for MO

POLSON — Miracle of America’s hours are now 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. on Sundays. Some holidays may be shorter hours as well, so it is best to call 406-883-6804 first. Our free “Night at the Museum” is on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Donations or treats are always welcome. Schoolteachers are encouraged to give extra credit for a report from attending students.

Montecahto Club invites new members

 POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

Area-wide AlAnon meetings available 

LAKE COUNTY — Are you affected by someone else’s drinking? AlAnon can help. Area meetings are anonymous, non-smoking, 12-step recovery for family and friends of alcoholics. Come join us. There are no membership dues. POLSON - The Elks Club holds a community dance in their air-conditioned ballroom, the first and third Wednesday of each month from 7-10 p.m. Come and listen or dance. Snacks are at 8:30 p.m.
Sexual assault support group meets Wednesdays

Dance at the Elks


POLSON — Calling all of you who love classic country and vintage rock ‘n’ roll music to come and join us at our next dance on Wednesday, Aug 15, from7-10 p.m., at the Elks on Main Street. ‘Souvenir’ wraps up PPP summer season

POLSON — Wrapping up Port Polson Players’ summer season is “Souvenir.” Missoula favorite Alicia Bullock Muth returns to the Polson stage in this musical retelling of the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins, an American socialite who was noted as the world’s worst opera singer. All summer theatre shows are presented at Polson’s beautiful theatre on the lake on the Polson golf course – U.S. Hwy. 93, Boettcher Park. This production plays from Aug. 16-26. Final ‘Adulting’ class held


POLSON — The North Lake County Public Library will hold “Adulting 101’s” third and final session on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m. in the library meeting room. This session will cover the basics of finance and we will talk about travel. We invite your questions. This fun, interactive program is for teens and preteens and is intended to help prepare the future of our nation to go out into the world (mostly) ready to survive as a new adult. Pachyderms to meet


POLSON — All are invited to hear Pachyderm Club speaker, Lori Thibodeau, supervisor for Polson regional office, Adult Probation and Parole, Montana Dept. of Corrections for Aug. 24. She will explain how adult probation and parole fits into the Lake County Justice System, especially with a full jail. Ms. Thibodeau has 20 years of experience with Adult Probation and Parole.
