Flathead Irrigation District invites all to meet at RMS Arts Center
RONAN — Flathead Irrigation District invites you to an information meeting on Oct. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronan Middle School Performing Arts Center. Speakers will be Anna Stradley, senior water master for water court, Ethan Mace, surface water hydrologist for DNRC and Donny Boyd, county commissioner from Klamath Falls. They will share what happens to your community when you lose your water.

Indigenous film series continues in Ronan
RONAN — The Entertainer Theatre is the site for the annual Indigenous film series. Set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, the film ‘Idaho’s Forgotten War’ profiles the courage and faith of 67 Idaho Kootenai people and the extraordinary Kootenai woman, Amy Trice, who declared war on the United States government in 1974 to save her people.

Learn about retirement
RONAN - A retirement workshop for all local teachers and public employees will be hosted by the Ronan-Pablo Education Association. This TRS and PERS workshop is for those interested in learning more about retirment. Please join us on Oct. 23 from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Ronan Schools' Performing Arts Center.

Prepare for painted pumpkin party
RONAN - The Ronan VFW Auxiliary 5652 is having a painted pumpkin contest and party on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 2-4 p.m. at the VFW Post 35981 Round Butte Road. Quilters to work on 2019 raffle quilt
RONAN - The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold a work day on Saturday, Oct. 27, at the LDS Church in Ronan from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to work on the 2019 raffle quilt and any other projects you might have going. There will be fabric to cut for the TLC quilts and the quilted hugs project. Please bring you own cutters, mats, machines and your own lunch. Everyone is welcome. Come for a fun day of sharing.

Final Indigenous film shown
RONAN — Excerpts from Mary Kathryn Nagle’s play, “A Slice of the Full Moon on VAWA (the Violence Against Women Act)” and several short films by Ivan and Ivy MacDonald on the topic of missing and murdered Indigenous women will be shown, at The Entertainer Theater at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.

4-H shooting sports program begins
RONAN — The 4-H Shooting Sports Air Rifle, Archery and Air Pistol program will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 30. The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the historic Hort Barn on the Ronan Fairgrounds across from the school tennis courts. A parent or guardian must attend this meeting with the member. Back Country Horsemen to meet
RONAN – Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their next monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6, at the VFW in Ronan. Kent and Charlene Krone will present a program with DVDs set to music about riding in the West with their horses. These seasoned equestrian travelers have journeyed with their horses from California to Missouri and from Texas to Canada and write articles about their favorite places to camp and ride in the magazine Trail Rider. They offer invaluable information from an equestrian’s perspective. You don’t want to miss this one folks.
Quilters gather for regular meeting
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their regular meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronan LDS Church. Refreshments will be provided by Christy G., Lareld G., Donna C. and Debbie T. Be sure to invite someone to the guild and don’t forget your show and tell.

Veterans, families invited to Glacier View School
RONAN – Attention veterans and families: join the students of Glacier View School for a Veterans Celebration Program at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8. Students have prepared a short program followed by a delicious meal, served hot. Save the date and let the students thank you for your service. The free program and meal will be held at Glacier View School, 36332 Mud Creek Lane, on the west side of Hwy. 93 between Ronan and Pablo.

Middle school theatre group presents ‘The Lady Pirates of the Carribbean’
RONAN – Coming soon will be a swashbuckling pirate comedy performed by the very talented Ronan Middle School theatre group. The play “The Lady Pirates of the Caribbean” will be a combination of gold, orphaned children, notorious pirates, a shipwreck, walking the plank, and a classic sword fight. Lots of fun for all. One performance will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Ronan Performing Arts Center. All tickets will be sold at the door and cost $5 each.
