Farm Agency to discuss multiple programs
RONAN — USDA Farm Service Agency and Montana State University are hosting a Farm Bill meeting on Oct. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the Lake County Community Development Corporation conference room, 407 Main Street SW. The meeting is free and open to the public. Meeting attendees will learn about FSA’s Agricultural Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs.
Gain ‘new business’ know-how

Two versions of haunted house offered
RONAN —Thespian Troupe 8746 proudly announces their haunted house fundraiser on Oct. 25 and 26 at the Ronan Performing Arts Center. Entrance at the side door by the playground (there will be signs). From 5-6:45 p.m. there will be a “lights on” haunted house, without jump scares. From 7-10 p.m. there will be the scarier “lights off ” version of the haunted house. Prices are $3 per person for the “lights on” version and $4 per person for the “lights off ” version. Proceeds go to help our acting troupe travel and compete. at the Montana Thespian Festival in February.

Quilters hold ‘Sew Day’ for 2020 quilt show
RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their “Sew Day” for the 2020 quilt show on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Ronan at the Terrace Lake Community Church. Be sure to bring a sack lunch. The November block of the month is the easy Hunter Star by the Missouri Star Quilt company with one change. This is a great way to improve your piecing so come join the fun and learn a new skill. Everyone is welcome.

RONAN — Microsoft Excel is an essential tool for managing your company’s data. An Excel I workshop will be taught at the Lake County Community Development building, 407 Main Street, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Bring a brown bag lunch or plan for lunch on your own. Excel I is an entry-level workshop. You’ll learn how to: enter and modify data in a worksheet, format worksheets, move and copy data, create formulas, work with ranges, navigate the worksheet, use the fill handle, use time-saving keyboard shortcuts. RHS students plan ‘Trick or Can’ Halloween food drive
RONAN — Ronan Family Career and Community Leaders of America would like to announce their Halloween food drive. FCCLA is a club at Ronan High School. This year, members of the club will be trick-or-treating all around Ronan. Instead of candy, we ask for a canned food or non-perishable item.
After we gather what we have received, we will donate everything to the Bread Basket. Donate if you can, anything helps.

RONAN — The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold their regular meeting on Monday, Nov. 4, at 6:30 p.m. at the Terrace Lake Community Church. You should have your “Easy Hunter Star” done. Be sure to square up your half square triangles to 2 and one-half inches so your block will be 8 and one-half inches. Refreshments will be provided by Terry C., Robyn S., Susan B. and Tereas H. Don’t forget your show-and-tell big or small. Everyone is welcome; you won’t know what you are missing until you check us out. No matter your age, it’s always fun to learn and meet new friends.

RONAN — An Excel II workshop will be taught at the LCCD building, 407 Main Street, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Excel II is an intermediate class for students who have a basic knowledge of Excel. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to: work with lists, work with freeze panes and split panes, use the sort and auto filter functions, use the insert function command to create if functions, use the automatic subtotals and grouping functions, create and work with charts. Learn about the 2020 Census
RONAN — Lake County Democrats are sponsoring a program devoted to the 2020 Census to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Ronan Senior Citizens Center located at 528 Main Street SW. The decennial census is a count of every person living in the U.S. as of April 1, 2020.
