Kicking Horse Job Corps hosts Hiring Fair
RONAN — The Kicking Horse Job Corps, 33091 Mollman Pass Trail, is hosting a hiring fair at the Kicking Horse Job Corps Center, on Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Tour the campus, ask questions, and apply for position. Bring a valid driver’s license with you. Horsemen organize Octoberfest potluck
RONAN — Mission Valley Back Country Horsemen will hold their annual Octoberfest on Oct. 2, at the Ronan VFW starting at 6:30 p.m. This event is a potluck. After the potluck there will be a short club meeting. We hope to recruit new members who enjoy all types of horse related activities and comradeship. Hope to see you there.

Farmers hear trade damage plan, payments
RONAN — A market facilitation program meeting for Lake County producers is set for Oct. 4 The Lake County USDA Farm Service Agency will host an informational meeting on the Market Facilitation Program on Oct. 4, 2018, from 1-4 p.m. in the Ronan USDA Service Center conference room, 64352 US Highway 93 in Ronan. FSA staff will provide an overview of the program and discuss eligibility and documentation requirements.

Indigenous film series begins
RONAN — Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition fifth annual free film series at the Entertainer Theatre in Ronan begins with their first film at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7. Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult. Skinwalkers is the PBS adaptation of the Tony Hillerman novel with Wes Studi and Adam Beach as detectives solving crimes among the Navajo. Western Native Vote will register voters from noon-1 p.m.
