Caregiver class taught through Feb. 28

POLSON — Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes are scheduled for six Tuesdays, Jan. 24-Feb. 28. Time for the class is 10-11:30 a.m. The classes are sponsored by the Area VI Agency on Aging to help caregivers thrive in this most difficult life role. Library holds winter reading program through March 19

POLSON — Keep the winter blues away by escaping with a good book (or seven). The North Lake County Public Library is holding a winter reading program for adults and teens. You can stop into the library beginning Wednesday, Dec. 21, to pick up your Bingo-style reading log or print it from our Facebook page. Successfully complete seven squares on your winter Bingo card and then cards will be entered into a drawing in April. The winter reading program will run from Dec. 21-March 19. Sandpiper Gallery begins new art show through April 7

POLSON — From Feb. 28 - April 7, the Sandpiper Gallery in Polson will exhibit work from artists Terry Droll (oil painter), Ray Miller (photography), Sheri Nagy (pallet knife oils), and Shane Hughes (woodwork), for their art show “Everything Happens for a Reason.”

Celebrate Recovery ministers to anyone

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. The evening starts off with dinner followed by a teaching and discussion groups with coffee/dessert. Childcare is available. Join ‘Barefoot Church’ service

POLSON — Weekly Sunday “Barefoot Church” services are at 1 p.m. at the Montana Co-op. Come as you are. Bask in the Spirit, no judgment, just love and worship, forgiveness and healing.

POLSON — The Self-Help Law Center will be at North County Public Library the second Friday of each month. (Nov. 11 visit has been changed to Nov. 18.) New hours announced for MO

POLSON — Miracle of America’s hours are now 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. on Sundays. Some holidays may be shorter hours as well, so it is best to call 406-883-6804 first. Our free “Night at the Museum” is on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Donations or treats are always welcome. Schoolteachers are encouraged to give extra credit for a report from attending students.

 
Montecahto Club invites new members
 
POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

LAKE COUNTY — Are you affected by someone else’s drinking? AlAnon can help. Area meetings are anonymous, non-smoking, 12-step recovery for family and friends of alcoholics. Come join us. There are no membership dues. Sewing machine maintenance class

1/9/2014

There will be a sewing machine maintenance class on Jan. 9 at the St. Ignatius Senior Center held in conjunction with the Thursday Quilters. Bring your machine, a project to work on, a potluck dish to share and $10 for the class, which takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
