‘Making Fitness Fun’ offered at McDonald Fitness Center through Aug. 22

PABLO — “Making Fitness Fun” is a free program for children ages 7 and older. Activities run Monday to Thursday, June 9 to Aug. 22 from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Joe McDonald Fitness Center on SKC campus. Sign ups can be done at any time throughout the summer at the Fitness Center. Organizers plan to provide free supervision to children while they participate in organized activities like swimming, hiking trips, kickball, football, baseball, basketball, dodge ball, Native games, volleyball, soccer, shinny, bike riding, nutritional education and more.

Free transportation to Ronan and Polson Boys and Girls Clubs will be offered at noon. A free nutritional breakfast and lunch is also offered at the Fitness Center, Monday-Thursday with breakfast served from 8:30-10 a.m. and lunch served from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Meals are for any age child up to 18 years old.

Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs announce summer program through Aug. 22

POLSON/RONAN — The summer program start date for both the Polson and Ronan Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs is Monday, June 16. Both clubs will end their summer programs on Friday, Aug. 22. Enjoy ‘Art on the Walls’ through Sept. 23

PLAINS — Sanders County Arts Council announces the opening of the summer show of “Art on the Walls” at the Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains. Original artworks by Valerie Curtiss, Rosa Dolson, Rachel Gonzalez, Gary Hensley, George Humeston, Crystal Kingston, Sun Honts Mann, Jina McHargue and Karen Thorson will be shown. Montana artists' show at Hangin' Art Gallery through Oct. 24

ARLEE — Karen Goulet, director of the Salish Kootenai Art Department, will be the featured artist at the Killdeer Artisans’ Guild summer show. The show presents new works from Montana artists at Hangin’ Art Gallery in Arlee. The show will remain up until Oct. 24.

 

 

Polson begins summer food program through Aug. 8

POLSON — The Summer Food Service Program will be held at the Cherry Valley Elementary School, 107 Eighth Ave. W from June 16-Aug. 8. This program provides free breakfast and lunch for all children age 18 and under, and will be served Monday through Friday. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-9 a.m. and lunch will be served from 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m. If you need further information, call 883-6355 Ext 604.

 

Ronan Schools to offer kids meals through Aug.15

RONAN — From June 9-Aug. 15, all children 18 years of age and under will be served breakfast and lunch at no cost to their families. Meals will be served at the Ronan Middle School Commons from 8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. for breakfast and from 11:30 a.m.-12:55 p.m. for lunch. RSD No. 30 is considered an “open site” and may feed at no cost any and all children who wish to participate. Children are not required to live in the district.

All adults must pay cash for meals at the time of service at a rate of $4 for lunch and $2.50 for breakfast.

 

Summer food program begins in Dixon through Aug. 1

DIXON — A summer food service program will begin on July 7 and run until Aug. 1, Monday through Thursday, with breakfast served from 7:30-9 a.m. and lunch served from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Dixon School community room.

 

Summer school program to be held in Charlo July 7 to 31

CHARLO — Charlo will run a summer school program from July 7 to July 31.

Sewing machine maintenance class

There will be a sewing machine maintenance class on Jan. 9 at the St. Ignatius Senior Center held in conjunction with the Thursday Quilters. Bring your machine, a project to work on, a potluck dish to share and $10 for the class, which takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
