Ronan summertime breakfast, lunch served through Aug. 19

RONAN — Ronan Middle School will serve kid friendly meals for lunch and breakfast Monday-Friday (excluding July 4th) from June 9-Aug. 19. Breakfast will be served from 8:15-10:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:55 p.m. There is no cost to all children 18 years old and younger. Adult meal prices are $2.50 for breakfast and $4 for lunch.

 

Sandpiper presents new show, May 28 through July 8

POLSON — Sandpiper Art Gallery, 306 Main Street, presents “Beauty and the Beast” a fun show featuring Sandpiper member artists Marge Christensen (sculpture/painting), Maer Rubley (impressionism), Suzie Berry (acrylics), Carole Carberry (watercolor/printmaker), Mary Kelly (oil painting), and jewelry artist Amber Nolan from Saturday, May 28-Friday, July 8.

 

Sandpiper to sponsor non-juried art show through May 27

POLSON — Sandpiper Art and Gift Gallery will sponsor a non-juried show open to all artists April 16-May 27. Artistic interpretation of the theme, in any medium, will be accepted. There is a small entry fee for non-Sandpiper member artists. A reception will be held on Friday, April 22, from 5-7 p.m. For more information contact the Gallery at 406-883-5956.

 

SKC Library holds used book sale

PABLO — The SKC Library will hold a used book sale on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 and 19, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Hardbacks are $1, paperbacks are $.50. All genres are available and there is something for everyone.

 

Summertime breakfast, lunch served through Aug. 5

POLSON — June 6 is the first day of the free breakfast and lunch Summer Food Service Program in Polson. Cherry Valley, 107 Eighth Ave. W, is the site for the program. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-1:15 p.m., Monday-Friday. All children 18 years old and under eat for free. The program ends on Aug. 5.

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. The evening starts off with dinner followed by a teaching and discussion groups with coffee/dessert. Childcare is available. Montecahto Club invites new members
 
POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

LAKE COUNTY — Are you affected by someone else’s drinking? AlAnon can help. Area meetings are anonymous, non-smoking, 12-step recovery for family and friends of alcoholics. Come join us. New choir meets Wednesdays
 
RONAN — The Mission Valley Children’s Choir, directed by Cathy Gillhouse and Pastor Seth Nelson, meets from 4-5 p.m. every Wednesday at the Faith Lutheran Church, 406 Fifth Ave. SW.

POLSON — The first Saturday of each month from 6-9 p.m., a Birthday Bash/Open Mic Night/Potluck will take place at the Co-op HUB, 401 Main Street. Anyone who enjoys playing or listening to live music is welcome and we’re celebrating all birthdays in the month. Bring a cake or food to the potluck. Join breastfeeding support group
 
POLSON — The Baby Café, a breastfeeding support group is held the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. and the third Tuesday of each month at 7:15 p.m. at the HUB, 401 Main Street. Join other breastfeeding moms for support and fellowship with the guidance of Elizabeth Williams, a certified lactation counselor.

POLSON — Krysti Reichman will offer a drama/performance class at the HUB, 401 Main Street.

POLSON — The Montana Co-op will hold a Farmers/Flea Market every Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at 401 Main Street. Buy, sell, trade, or give things away. You may rent a table for $10. Buy and support local merchandising. Reserve a table by calling 406-290-2070. Musicians are welcome; come play for tips. Food will be available for purchase.

POLSON – Order your local food before Monday at noon and your order will be ready on Thursday. Products may be purchased on website: www.montanacoop.com or ask to fill out a recurring order form for your staple food items. Pick up order in Polson every Thursday, year round, from 3-7 p.m. (Ronan pick up is at Dobson Creek Coffee on Main Street in Ronan from noon to 5 p.m.Thursdays) 
 
 
Gather for “Four Agreements” talk

Sewing machine maintenance class

There will be a sewing machine maintenance class on Jan. 9 at the St. Ignatius Senior Center held in conjunction with the Thursday Quilters. Bring your machine, a project to work on, a potluck dish to share and $10 for the class, which takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
