Summer science camp starts
POLSON — A summer science camp full of messy-fun science experiments and other activities is being offered June 17-20. The camp takes place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Linderman Elementary School. Celebrate with country music at community dance
POLSON — Western night at the Elks takes place on Wednesday, June 19, from 7-9 p.m. Time to once again celebrate with our country finery and our songs. Environmental issues presented at democrats’ meeting
POLSON — Daerf Johnson, staff member for the Environmental Information Center, will present an overview of several major environmental issues currently facing Montana citizens, including the Keystone Pipeline, Otter Creek coal development (which has the potential of becoming the largest coal mine in the United States), and the expansion of other mining operations in Southeast Montana. His presentation, followed by a question and answer period, is being sponsored by the Lake County Democrats and will be held in conjunction with the monthly meeting at the Polson Senior Citizens Center, 504 Third Ave., Wednesday, June 19, from 7-9 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Shenanagins plays music at farmers’ market
ARLEE — Jocko Valley Farmers’ Market is held each Wednesday through Sept. 25 from 4-7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hangin’ Art Gallery on Highway 93 in downtown Arlee. Purchase your produce for the week as well as some great baked goods; value added foods as well as arts and crafts.
On June 19, Shenanagins will provide music and Arlee CDC will provide dinner.
