Library begins monthly movie night

POLSON — Enjoy “Friday Night at the Library” on the fourth Friday of each month. North Lake County Library will show movies rated PG or PG-13 ( posted on our website) and make fresh popcorn. This program debuts Friday, Jan. 25. Be in the library before 6 p.m. to be included. Feel free to bring your own nonalcoholic beverage and snacks.

New Wednesday after-school library program explores the world

POLSON — “Wiggle Worms,” a new after-school program at North Lake County Library takes place on Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. Join us in the after-school hour for stories, activities, and crafts designed to boost a love of learning. While optimized for kids four and up, all ages are welcome to join us as we explore a new part of the world each week.

Recovery support available

RONAN —Recovery support is available for those struggling with addiction at The Never Alone Recovery Hall (Hwy. 93, old Boys and Girls Club), every day of the week. The Never Alone Recovery Hall is a peer support dropin center. We are simply recovering people offering our experience, strength, and hope to our community members who are struggling with addiction issues. All groups and services are free. Please feel welcome to drop in and check us out.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays a noon meditation group is held and from 1-5 p.m. individual peer support is available.

Mondays a women’s support group takes place from 6-8 p.m.

Tuesdays there are recovery stories and videos heard from 6-8 p.m.

Wednesdays Narcotics Anonymous meets from 6-8 p.m.

Thursdays an early recovery skills groups meets from 6-8 p.m.

Fridays from 8-9 p.m. The Red Road to Recovery group meets.

Saturdays a co-dependent support group meets at 5 p.m. and at 6:30 p.m. special events take place (events change).

Family movie night happens from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays.

Celebrate Recovery ministers to anyone

POLSON — Celebrate Recovery Ministry takes place at Polson Foursquare on Sundays between 5-8 p.m.

All are welcome to join us each Sunday evening. CR is a Christ-centered 12-step recovery ministry for anyone with hurts, habits or hang-ups. POLSON — Weekly Sunday “Barefoot Church” services are at 1 p.m. at the Montana Co-op. Come as you are. Bask in the Spirit, no judgment, just love and worship, forgiveness and healing.

Gather for prayers, readings, meal

POLSON -- Soul-food Saturday is a community gathering at the Co-op HUB to share prayers, readings and discussion on the topic of unity, followed by a light meal. Kids of all ages are welcome; supervision is provided.

New hours announced for MO

POLSON — Miracle of America’s hours are now 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 1:30-6 p.m. on Sundays. Some holidays may be shorter hours as well, so it is best to call 406-883-6804 first. Our free “Night at the Museum” is on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Donations or treats are always welcome. Schoolteachers are encouraged to give extra credit for a report from attending students.

Montecahto Club invites new members

 POLSON — The Montecahto Club meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. We are a social and service organization and sponsor a scholarship for a graduating senior, cook and serve lunch at “Soup’s On,” collect for the Food Bank, send Care packages to the overseas troops and help out wherever we can. We welcome new members. Come to a meeting and get to know us.

Area-wide AlAnon meetings available 

LAKE COUNTY — Are you affected by someone else’s drinking? AlAnon can help. Area meetings are anonymous, non-smoking, 12-step recovery for family and friends of alcoholics. Come join us. FRHRC talks immigration


ST. IGNATIUS — The Flathead Reservation Human Rights Coalition will hold a potluck and conversation on immigration policies and procedures at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Valley United Methodist Church, (70715 Hwy 93, top of Post Creek Hill). Give food for fines at city court

POLSON — Polson City Court, (106 First Street, E), will hold their annual “Food for Fines” drive from Feb. 4 -28, Mondays-Thursdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Defendants with existing fines may reduce the amount owed by donating non-perishable, non-expired food.

Griz fans invited to visit, discuss new season


POLSON — Hey Griz Fans save the date. Come join us for a Griz Street and Gab on Feb. 6 at Glacier Brewing. Head Coach Bobby Hauck, along with his assistants and athletic department representatives, will join us for a brief signing day-visit on their way north. They will discuss the new signees and future expectations for the 2019 football season. Light refreshments will be served and it will be a fun fan event. The doors will open at 2 p.m. and the coaches and others should arrive about 3:30 p.m. Let’s show our support for the program and let these guys know how much we appreciate all their hard work. Introductory Zen meditation class offered


POLSON — An introductory Zen meditation class is being offered at the YogaHeart Studio, 314 Main Street, on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. The class will be presented by Zen Priest Zenku, Jerry Smyers. Valentine’s Day celebrated at Polson’s community dance


POLSON — On Wednesday, Feb. 6, please join us for the Valentine’s Dance in the ballroom at the Elks on Main St. From 7-10 p.m. Ken’s Country Combo will provide a variety of country and vintage rock and roll music.
